Alkemist 02 continues the brand’s founding philosophy through a different billiards discipline.
Each wood performs a specific role. Quilted Sapele forms the forearm and butt sleeve, its rippled figure creating shifting depth as the cue rotates.
Snakewood shapes the wrap section and collars, adding exceptional density and an unmistakable, one-of-a-kind grain.
Roasted Hard Rock Maple structures the core and is also used for both shafts.
PURE CABINETMAKING
Eight-millimeter Super Tusk rings define the transitions between materials. Quilted Sapele displays a three-dimensional figure: its undulating grain changes the way light travels across the surface and produces shifting relief as the butt rotates. Snakewood contributes one of nature’s most recognizable patterns, with irregular dark markings reminiscent of a snake’s skin. Every section is unique, ensuring that no cue can reproduce the same composition.
The cue butt weighs 384 grams and uses geometry developed for the control, cue-ball speed, and precise energy transfer demanded by carom billiards.
Its surface is finished with a CNC-applied cyanoacrylate coating. Both shafts weigh 106 grams, measure 665 millimeters, and finish at 11.3 millimeters. Each follows a European carom taper and is fitted with a resin ferrule and an eight-layer Inviktcues tip.
JEWELLERY
The jewelry work is integrated into the cue’s construction. The rings carry twenty-four rhomboid white-gold inlays with a Rhodium+ finish, each set with a 2-millimeter brilliant-cut diamond.
The joint ring contains 1.15 grams of 925 sterling silver. Altogether, the cue incorporates thirty-six natural F/G VVS2 brilliant-cut diamonds totaling 1.54 carats, together with natural Extra-quality colored gemstones cut as cabochons. It uses 25.20 grams of sterling silver and 8.10 grams of white gold across its inlays, settings, capsules, and joint protectors.
INFINITY DIAMONDS
A Rhodium+-plated sterling-silver bumper capsule closes the butt sleeve.
Inside it, the Alkemist emblem is built from three layers of opaque black fired enamel and finished with a 1.50-millimeter brilliant-cut diamond. Three 2.70-millimeter infinity diamonds move independently inside the capsule, each held by an 18-karat White Gold+ structure. Their motion introduces a kinetic element into a cue built around exact geometry.
PROTECTION
Three premium snakewood joint protectors complete the ritual.
Each carries a sterling-silver logo capsule set with a 1.20-millimeter diamond. Six 2.50-millimeter Infinity Diamonds are distributed among their White Gold+ structures: three in the butt protector, two in one shaft protector, and one in the other. The shaft protectors terminate in Extra-quality natural cabochons—one emerald and one blue sapphire—so the two shafts can be identified. At the tip of the joint pin, a 2.70-millimeter diamond set in White Gold+ remains concealed when the cue is assembled.
Built for Manel Cusiné and completed in July 2026, ALKEMIST 02 is presented in a custom walnut case engraved with the cue’s individual number.
